I’m the “Em” in Em & Flo. Flo is short for Florence, my great-great-grandmother. As a little girl, I used to admire Flo’s quilts in my mom’s childhood bedroom. I used to wish for my own heirloom quilt, but as much as I love and appreciate my mom, the crafty gene seems to have skipped a few generations. ;)

Fast forward to today. I am living my dream, making sure that my kids have their own quilts to pass down to their children and grandchildren. I love the idea of heirloom pieces so much that I want to help other people make them too. Enter me and my computerized APQS longarm machine. Together we are going to turn your gorgeous quilt tops into something that can last a lifetime and beyond.

When I’m not quilting I am hanging out with my handsome husband, our five awesome kiddos, and two crazy dogs.
