Longarm Quilting
Price per square inch: 2 cents
Example: A quilt top that is 60 inches x 80 inches costs $96.
60 x 80 = 4800 x $.02 = $96.
Minimum charge
My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.
Batting
I use and stock my favorite Quilters Dream batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend and 100% cotton.
Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
Prices
34 cents per inch of 80/20 cotton/poly blend
39 cents per inch of 100% Cotton
Thread
I use Premo-soft #50 weight, which is included in your square inch price. I like to use neutral colors that match your quilt top, but if you have a thread color preference, please let me know!
Shipping
Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Virginia, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I would recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above, utilizing the most economical option available at the time. Please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy insurance for the shipment on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage, but I don't require it.
Taxes
The state of Virginia requires that I collect 5.3% sales tax on my quilting services. Batting and other materials that I provide do not need to be taxed.
Payment
When I am done with your quilt, I will send you an invoice. As soon as I receive your payment, I will pop your quilt in the mail!
